Garvin Named to NCCUSL

Ohio Governor Bob Taft has named Larry Garvin (Ohio State) to serve as one of Ohio’s Uniform Law Commissioners.  Garvin, who joined the Buckeye faculty in 2003 after five years at Florida State and visiting stints at Texas and Washington-St. Louis, joins Dean Nancy Hardin Rogers as one of the Commissioners.

“Note [the Governor’s] careful timing,” said Garvin.  “He appointed me just after work on the UCC came to an end.”  Among other things, Garvin is the co-author of The Law of Entrepreneurial Finance and Secured Transactions and Payment Systems: Problems and Answers, and the new editor of Farnsworth on Contracts.
