Robert_nozick On this date, January 23, 2002, libertarian philosopher Robert Nozick died of cancer at age 63.  In his best-known book, Anarchy, State, and Utopia (1974), Nozick articulated the libertarian view of contracts, arguing that differences in wealth distribution are just when they result from the voluntary exchanges of consenting adults.  (Image: Harvard University)
