Law Prof Wins K Case

Aaa_90 A tenured University of Calgary law professor, fired for failing to return from his sabbatical on time, has won his breach of contract claim against the University. An Alberta small claims judge found that the University was negligent and breached its contract with Peter Bowal, but that there was no bad faith.

Bowel, a law professor in the University’s Haskayne School of Business, spent his sabbatical as a fellow at the United States Supreme Court.  Interestingly, the school features him on its “Great Teachers at U of C” web page.
