Reintroducing Nancy Kim!

Nancy_kimOne of the greatest gifts of blogging is the friendships one makes just by interacting with people on and through the blog.  I met Nancy Kim on this blog.  We became colleagues and collaborators, then friends, and then c0-authors.  Along the way, I became a fan of Nancy’s scholarship.  Her book, Wrap Contracts has informed my thinking and my teaching about contracts in the Internet Age.  Fundamentals

Nancy has since published two additional books. In 2016, she published The Fundamentals of Contract Law and Clauses, an innovative textbook that teaches contracts doctrine by looking at actual contractual provisions.  Most recently, in 2019, Cambridge University Press brought out Nancy’s latest book, Consentability: Consent and Its Limits, which explores a subject that goes to the heart of contracts law in the age of online contracts of adhesion.

ConsentabilityNancy has published at a furious rate while teaching in a variety of areas.  In addition to being the ProFlowers Distinguished Professor of Internet Law at the California Western School of Law, Nancy has since 2007 been a Visiting Professor at the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego.

For this audience, Nancy needs no introduction.  Unlike me, she never left the blog, having dutifully contributed since 2011.  Nonetheless, she has renewed her interest in blogging recently, and we can look forward to more frequent contributions in the coming weeks, months, and, let us hope, years.
