A modest solution for high casebook prices

The price of casebooks used in law schools is high, due in part to lack of price competition among suppliers, but also due to the fact that the professors who pick the books get free copies and have no financial incentive to assign cheaper books.  Yale’s Ian (Studies in Contract Law) Ayres offers an interesting solution to the problem.
