Eliminating employee expectations

Company practices—”consecutive actions by an employer leading an employee to conclude eventually that this practice will continue for the duration of the employment relationship”—can often lead to claims against employers.  This is particularly true in Europe.  Looking at the situation in Germany, George Mikes of Jones Day has some advice to employers: Eliminate them.
