Not a sweet deal for “Dessert” supplier

Singer/actress Jessica Simpson has been sued over her new “Dessert” line of eatable body fragrances.  A supplier, Cosmojet, claims it is owed nearly $200,000 by Dessert Beauty, Inc., for products it delivered.  Dessert, which makes such things as “Deliciously Kissable Sugar Scrub” and “Powdered Sugar Deliciously Kissable Body Shimmer,” says that Cosmojet’s products were not up to its “high product standards.”

A spokesman for Simpson, star of the hit MTV series The Newlyweds, says she is simply a spokesperson for the product and says the suit against her personally is “meritless.” She plans to take legal action against Cosmojet.
